FROM EAST END LONDON TO THE EAST CARIBBEAN

From early days based in London’s heart of the ‘fruit and veg’ industry, Tropifruit has grown to become a global importer and distributor with a solid reputation for quality, value and reliability. Here are some of the milestones in our four decade history that’s just the beginning…

1974

Alan Garratt trading ethnic produce form a 1500sqft warehouse in sheppards bush serving local high street shops.

1983

Expanded operations to Old Spittlefield market were they served from four stands.

1991

Moved to the New Spittle Field Market.

2007

Expanded within New spittlefield market purchasing a large stand with 4 ripening rooms. Also moved to a larger warehouse in Stratford for riepjing and distribution.

2009

Moved distribution centre to large 32,000sqft warehouse in Purfleet extending the product range and serving more to Europe.
