Tropifruit is a long established, specialist importer and distributor of Afro-Carribean fruit and vegetables.
We serve a diverse ethnic market through our customers including stores, market traders, independent retailers, caterers, restaurants and other food service businesses.
Our global supply chain includes a number of high quality growers and our own produce farms located in the Dominican Republic and North Africa.
Based in Essex near the Thames Gateway we’re ideally located to transport produce to customers in the UK using our own transport fleet.

1974
Alan Garratt trading ethnic produce form a 1500sqft warehouse in sheppards bush serving local high street shops.
1983
Expanded operations to Old Spittlefield market were they served from four stands.
1991
Moved to the New Spittle Field Market.
2007
Expanded within New spittlefield market purchasing a large stand with 4 ripening rooms. Also moved to a larger warehouse in Stratford for riepjing and distribution.
2009
Moved distribution centre to large 32,000sqft warehouse in Purfleet extending the product range and serving more to Europe.
